This one definitely stings for me. Jake and I were pretty close when we were kids, especially through elementary school. Then somehow life got in the way of all that and I can't tell you the last time I saw him... and we only live about three miles from each other. Life is definitely too short! My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Jake's family. May they somehow find comfort and peace knowing that he is now in a better place.

Jake and I were never really close, but I always liked him.  He had that unforgettable, infectious smile and was always laughing... he just seemed to brighten the room... every morning in home room.  Farewell Jake.  I'll see your smile again on the other side.  Enjoy being in the presence of Jesus!

Grew up with Jake, we were neighbors since Kindergarten.  Even dated a period after High School.  Haven't seen him in years but still held a special spot for him in my heart. He comes from an absolute beautiful family.  Fly High Jake

The Parkview Elementary Class of '85 had a core 16 or so of us for all 7 years (k-6) and Jake was a huge part of our school family.  I will miss him and hate this part of getting older most of all.  Like Dawn, I remember those summers as being simple the best.  Once we were old enough to walk or ride bikes we were everywhere between Anita Park and the fields of Panic behind Dawn or Kenny's houses.  I hate that time and life and living in different places has gotten in the way.of those early friendships that are like no others.  I miss all of you and now we have lost Sandy and Jake.  I hope we can find time to reach out more and anyone from Parkview or Punxsy HS Class of '85 has an standing invite to mine and Troy's home in Harrisburg.  Also, my family now owns Parkview Elementary, at least until we figure out what to do with it...  So, I would like to invite the Parkview classmates back during our reunion this summer.  Maybe a game of dodgeball in the gym for old times sake and in honor of Sandy and Jake.  Any interest email me at: marti.shewin@gmail.com.   Jake is free from the pain of cancer now and with God, whom he firmly believed.  But, I will miss him and will never forgot his good and kind heart.  One of the sweetest boys in our gang!
